@JoelECarlson – A Happy Friday morning to everyone in Twitterville. Lets begin with the Twitterview 2.0 of @btreinen!
@btreinen – Hi, Joel and all. Happy to be here!
Q – #1 So since your last Twitterview, you’ve been busy. One thing you’ve done is join a Business Womens Circle. What is that?
A: It’s a fabulous support network for women entrepreneurs. We meet monthly, have a moderator, share, celebrate ea other’s successes.
Q – #2 How can someone connect with the group locally? How often do they meet? (RE: Business Womens Circle)
A: Business Women’s Circle: thebwc.org. As we’re building our businesses, it’s so great to know someone’s championing us.
Q – #3 Glad to help! Now in regards to your company, @GoodPeopleBrand, how has business been in this current economy for you?
A: The fun part is not only winning business but building awareness around the brand of @goodpeoplebrand.
Q – #4 Seeing the name @goodpeoplebrand, is there a certain attitude that is connected with the name as well, beyond branding?
A: When I named the co Good People Branding, I suddenly felt a tremendous incumbancy to “be good,” or better at least.
So yes, an attitude of promoting goodness, happiness, betterment is certainly a part of our DNA.
Q – #5 You mentioned to me that originally, @GoodPeopleBrand was a Creative Agency. How has it evolved since you started it?
A: Oh, we still love executing on creative! But the juicy stuff is the strategy work upon which that creative is built.
We love using best-in-class smarts to solve marketing challenges. Do the plan. Then the creative just flows from there.
Q – @6 You also attended a local event this summer called “Strategy for Good”. What was that event about?
A: Strategy for Good: hosted by @paulisakson. Bringing strategists together to help nonprofits solve business challenges.
Strategy for Good was a one day event. Great minds, good causes, positive results. Tip of the hat to @paulisakson et al
Q – #7 Was that the 1st (Strategy for Business) done in MN? Will there be another one next year?
A: I believe so. I’d point you to the organizers for those answers. I was just tickled to be a part of it.
Q – #8 Okay. Before our hour is up, any events or travel coming up that you are looking forward to?
A: Very VERY excited about an outreach effort we’re currently promoting called the DO GOOD Expedition.
Combines adventure and giving back. Our inaugural expedition is to Guatemala for 10 days this Feb 18-27.
Q – #9 I see. Any departing wisdom or a mantra that you’d like to share today to end with?
A: Set your intentions to do a little GOOD every day. (FYI, details about DO GOOD Expedition here: http://bit.ly/cFwIbf)
