Q – #1 So @MPLSTV, how long have you been around, and what is your purpose/focus?
A: Yo @JoelECarlson! We’ve been around since June of 2009. Our focus is to create a living document of the wonderful culture MPLS has.
Q – #2 How did you come up with the idea for @MPLSTV, and how big of a team do you have working on your efforts?
A: Luck. @JoelECarlson The domain happened to be available and it just felt like the right time to start something new.
We have a staff of about 10, with 4 interns, and over 150 contributors who have helped out,
Q – #3 That’s a good sized “support group”. :) So where do your topic ideas come from, and how many posts do you avg in a week?
A: Thanks @JoelECarlson! We ideate as a group and then produce videos. We also support local video content our site like @TVTV.
We try and post a video each day but that has been a challenge for us. We hope to overcome soon with more help,
Q – #4 So are you currently hiring or looking for more interns? What kind of qualifications are you looking for?
A: We need all the help we can it. It’s hard because none of us get paid and can’t pay people, @JoelECarlson #emotionallabor

Q – #5 I understand what you’re talking about. :) So good experience and training can be had though. No price for those right?
A: Totally.@JoelECarlson We want everyone who helps out to grow and get better at what they do. The best way to learn is to do.
Q – #5 So does one have to be a “pure-blood” Minnesotan to work at @MPLSTV, or are “others” allowed to work on the team as well? :)
A: We’re open to everyone who is willing to help out, JoelECarlson. Two of our staff members are from Maine, coincidentally.
Q – #6 So what are some topics that you’ve covered over the past week or two to give us an idea of the flavors of @MPLSTV?
A: Each day we try to cover a different one. Mon – Music Tues – Comedy Wed – Interviews Thur- Food Fri – Events
Q – #7 That’s a nice plan and good variety. What do you get the most interest or “clicks” on generally?
A: Our most popular series is City of Music thanks to @danhuiting Local bands perform in unique locations all over.
Q – #8 What kinds of plans do you have for @MPLSTV in the future? How can people help @MPLSTV the most if they enjoy the product?
